Netegrity Inc., a provider of software
and services for controlling user access to electronic commerce applications,
delivered SiteMinder v3.6.

The upgrade features greatly expanded single sign-on capabilities, allowing
SiteMinder to provide single sign-on across e-commerce sites spanning
multiple companies and corporate divisions, the company said.

SiteMinder 3.6 also includes a number of security enhancements and extended
platform support.

“Companies offering multiple products and services through different
divisions and affiliates on the Web increasingly need to extend secure,
simplified access to customers and partners,” said Barry Bycoff, president
and CEO of Netegrity.

“SiteMinder is the first and only secure user
management solution to deliver seamless, personalized access to large amounts
of affiliated information.”

SiteMinder 3.6 also offers native support for Certificate Revocation Lists
(CRLs) from all major PKI vendors for integration of certificate management
and access control.

It also includes the use of industry-standard encryption technologies
licensed from RSA Data Security Inc.

Netegrity said it has formally obtained governmental approval for export of strong
encryption (128- bit), for its multi-national customers.

And SiteMinder now allows administrators to define policies that are
associated with selected groups but with specific individuals excluded,
making it easier and quicker to set up and administer policies. Pricing was not disclosed.
