New Edge Networks Monday inked a deal with CoolCast to deliver video and audio streaming content over its national DSL network covering small,
midsize and semirural markets.

Under terms of the agreement, New Edge Networks will deploy CoolCast
technology to its broadband customers, which enables computer full-screen or
picture-in-a-picture viewing of video and audio programs.

New Edge Networks customers visiting the CoolCast Web site also will have
free access to emerging e-commerce opportunities such as online shopping for
featured products or services through direct links to advertiser Web pages.
No additional hardware or software is required other than a standard media
player.

“Our partnership with New Edge Networks represents an excellent opportunity
for CoolCast to offer smaller-market DSL subscribers the best streaming media
and convergence technology available today,” said Scott K. Ginsburg, chairman
of Starguide Digital, the parent company of CoolCast.

“With the introduction
of DSL to a growing number of markets, our next generation technology is
becoming the preferred portal to fully showcase the benefits of expanded
bandwidth.”

CoolCast delivers its streaming media directly to Internet Service Providers
and subsequently to end users, bypassing the public Internet and providing
dedicated capacity for its channels.
