Nordstrom.com signed an agreement with AltaVista Business Solutions
allowing the department store e-commerce site to employ AltaVista Search
Engine 3.0 to let customers search for products.
Web search firm AltaVista Co. is a majority-owned operating unit of CMGI Inc.
Financial terms of
the deal were not disclosed.

through the delivery of immediate, customized search results.”

AltaVista Business Solutions licenses AltaVista search engine products and
hosted services to e-commerce companies, portals and global enterprises and
has more than 850 customers worldwide.
