A consortium of online companies, including Transactor Networks Inc. and Citibank have joined forces to
initiate an online cause-related marketing venture on behalf of Muscular
Dystrophy.

The group brings “tis the season to be giving” a cyber twist. Each
participating merchant will give up to 5 percent of the sales generated from
purchases on TheCatalog.com to aide
Muscular Dystrophy
in its research efforts to fight the disease.

Other companies involved include: OmahaSteaks.com, TheSmokeShop.com,
Shades.com, FTD.com, Outletmall.com, Liquor by Wire, SwissArmyDepot.com,
FragranceNet.com, and Fashionmall.com.

Citibank and Transactor Networks have joined together to offer a new wallet
service to support this online promotion. The Citibank Digital Wallet,
developed by Transactor Networks, will enable consumers to make purchases on
multiple merchant Web sites with a few clicks of the mouse.

“Citibank’s goal is to make the online shopping experience more convenient to
customers while providing enhanced safety, security and privacy,” said Gail
Hoffman, vice president in Citibank’s e-Citi unit. In this pilot, consumers
will fill out a form just once and the required information will be made
available for all future transactions made by the consumer with multiple
merchants.

“We were initially attracted to TheCatalog.com merchants to introduce The
Wallet because of the quality of their sites and products,” said Ron Martinez,
CEO for San Francisco-based Transactor Networks. “We are proud to support the
merchants’ commitment to Muscular Dystrophy research.”
