WarrantyNow, a provider of service
plans over the Internet, partnered with small-business oriented operation Onvia.com to provide extended service options
to the latter’s customers.
As part of this agreement, Onvia.com’s customers will now be able to buy
extended warranties and service plans for merchandise purchased through the
Onvia.com site, providing product protection to small business operations.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
Onvia.com acts as a business-to-business e-marketplace for small businesses
by offering a single destination for the services, products, customer-lead
generation, news, tools, and advice entrepreneurs need to run their business.
The site also offers a request-for-quote service.
“WarrantyNow’s suite of applications will enable us to offer our customers
comprehensive extended product warranties,” said Mark Ogne, director of
products at Onvia.com. “This is right in line with our mission, which is in
part to provide the highest in customer service to today’s small businesses.”
Backed by a nationwide service center network, WarrantyNow’s real-time
solution integrates with an e-tailer’s site to provide customers with a
transparent experience.
The customer stays on the site, allowing the e-tailer
to maintain full control over the customer, while establishing an additional
profit center.
