SkyMall Finds New Customers Online

SkyMall Inc. signed partnerships with a variety of
Internet
sites to increase exposure for its online retailing efforts, including
Microsoft Shopping Plaza, TheTrip.com, theglobe.com and MyFamily.com.

SkyMall has created an electronic retailing program to expand on its in-flight
catalog marketing operation. Visitors to SkyMall’s partner Web sites may go
directly to the SkyMall site for
shopping services, and
after shopping, customers are directed back exclusively to the site from which
they began.

SkyMall has named this process the Closed Commerce Loop. The company said its
online sales are growing and now account for approximately 5 percent of
revenues.

SkyMall is also available through Chicken Soup for the Soul, the best-selling
book series, which sends more than 375,000 subscribers daily messages via
e-mail. SkyMall is featured on this daily communication with one-click access
to the SkyMall shopping page.

“This (Closed Loop) program offers advantages to both customers and our
partners: customers get the convenience of SkyMall’s online shopping, our
partner sites enjoy the benefit of SkyMall’s unique one-stop shopping while
ensuring that customers return to their site, and our many merchant partners
gain exposure to customers they might not otherwise reach,” said Robert M.
Worsley, president and chief executive officer of SkyMall.
