Andersen Consulting and Montgomery Research have teamed
to publish a new book and accompanying Web site that investigate the
Internet’s impact on the business supply chain.
The book, “Achieving Supply Chain Excellence Through Technology, Volume 2”
and its
dedicated Web site report on the perspectives
of leading practitioners, academics, technology providers and corporations
helping to shape the future of supply chain management.
The focus is on innovations in specific industries with perspectives from
leaders in the electronics and high technology, entertainment, energy,
chemicals, automotive, transportation, retail, food and consumer products
industries.
“e-commerce has paved the way for enhanced integration among companies and
their suppliers. Effective management of these relationships has become a
critical issue for companies across industries and geographies,” said David
L. Anderson, a partner in
Andersen Consulting’s Supply Chain Practice.
