The Password
said
that it completed e-commerce deals with online retailers AnotherUniverse (comic books and
science fiction) , Egghead, Etoys and cybermeals.

The Password, a wholly owned subsidiary of CMG Information
Services, is a free online service that provides “best of the Web” content
targeted to over 500 communities of interest along with personal publishing
tools designed to allow users to find, personalize and publish Web content.

The format of The Password, which it said aggregates content, commerce, and
community
around personal passions, in each of its “passWorlds,” allows its online
commerce partners to reach highly targeted groups of users on the Web.

In addition, a special marketplace section highlighting commerce partners and
their offerings is available from any page in the Password site. The Password
receives a commission on each transaction made through its site.
