Detroit New Media Association Launches

The Detroit New Media Association (DNA) will hold its inaugural event Sept. 24
with an 8 a.m. breakfast meeting featuring a presentation by Kevin O’Connor,
CEO of DoubleClick Inc.


The newly formed organization will meet at the Southfield Michigan Inn.
O’Connor will talk about how advertisers and Web publishers can benefit from
new developments in Internet-based advertising.


Detroit New Media Association (DNA) is for professionals that are involved in
interactive media. The association has two main objectives:



  1. Educational: Provide access to pioneering new media, creative, technical
    and business executives from both coasts through a series of new media forums,
    local new media award ceremonies and speaker engagements.


  2. Community: Develop an online community to help professionals from the
    Detroit Area shift to an information-centric society.
