Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch signed a long-term distribution partnership
agreement with Kozmo.com, local delivery Service.
The deal makes Kozmo.com the exclusive “under one hour”
general delivery provider
on the CitySearch.com network of city guides.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
Kozmo.com will be prominently positioned on the front page of CitySearch.com
city guide sites. In addition, citysearch.com visitors will experience
Kozmo.com services through a co-branded site, allowing them to access other
complementary local content and transaction services.
As part of the agreement, Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch becomes the
exclusive provider of local arts and entertainment content on the Kozmo.com
site and the exclusive local portal distributor of Kozmo.com services.
Kozmo.com, which delivers videos, DVDs, books, music, video games, magazines,
snacks, meals, beverages and other convenience items, said it intends to be
in over 20 markets by the end of this year. Kozmo.com is currently operating
in Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, New York and Washington, DC.
Founded in 1997, Kozmo.com launched its New York based service in March 1998.
The company uses a proprietary suite of “E-Direct” transaction-fulfillment
software applications in conjunction with its consumer direct delivery
network.
