IBM and Vignette Corp. said they will integrate
IBM e-business software with Vignette’s E-Relationships solution, StoryServer
4.

Vignette’s solutions will support IBM Net.Commerce, WebSphere application
servers, DB2 Universal Database and the AIX operating system.

“Vignette’s E-Relationships solutions complement IBM’s e-business software
and will help customers expand their businesses on the Web,” said Dave
Liederbach, vice president, e-commerce, IBM Software Solutions.

Financial
arrangements between the companies were not disclosed.

Vignette’s StoryServer provides tailored personalization solutions that allow
e-businesses to provide their customers an individualized online experience.

The integration allows businesses to create templates and produce an
interactive product catalog, for example. End-users will be able to browse,
save and order personalized items in an interactive secure electronic catalog.

“Today’s customers are demanding reliable and scalable solutions to meet
their online business needs,” said Greg Peters, president and CEO of
Vignette.

“Together, Vignette and IBM can provide customers with the
integrated personalized E-business capabilities to build powerful online
businesses.”
