Pandesic LLC, the Internet company from Intel and SAP, said that Kosher Grocer of Brooklyn, NY signed on as a new customer and is live on the Web with the Pandesic electronic-business solution.

Kosher Grocer, a new virtual retailer that specializes in selling kosher foods over the Internet, said the product’s scalability was a factor in its
decision.

Kosher Grocer will use the Pandesic e-business solution to ship more than
1,700 kosher items all over the United States, and eventually worldwide. In addition to selling gourmet kosher foods, including meats from a USDA-licensed butcher, the Kosher Grocer Web site contains restaurant and product reviews, travel suggestions and a variety of kosher recipes.

The Pandesic e-business solution provides order processing and logistics
support for the entire commerce cycle, including marketing, order processing
and fulfillment, inventory pricing, materials management, tax handling,
payment processing, shipping and handling logistics, financial reporting, and
vendor-payment processes.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
