WorldPay, which develops multi-currency e-commerce transaction processing systems, is expanding its operations internationally with a new deal with Brightcube , an El Segundo, Calif.-based company serving the professional art and photography industries offering online print on demand services in Australia, Canada, Japan and the United Kingdom.

Brightcube will depend on the Sterling, Va.-based WorldPay to process transactions in the native currency of those countries.

Brightcube’s offering, the Brightcube Solution, offers art retailers and galleries specially designed printers and online access to secure servers that store artwork digitally. With the Brightcube Solution, retail storefronts can select any image and immediately print high quality reproductions to photographic paper, canvas or other material in various sizes. The service minimizes shipping and inventory costs and shipping delays for galleries, and increases product selection.

“Our overseas expansion required a payment processor capable of making e-commerce transactions as easy as possible for international customers,” said Elizabeth Wenner, vice president of Internet Development for Brightcube. “WorldPay was the only provider that could do what we needed, global multi-currency payment processing.”

WorldPay supports more than 14,000 online merchants in 115 countries, allowing them to tap markets beyond their borders. Support for multiple languages and currencies eliminates price uncertainty, and encourages shoppers to execute international transactions they may otherwise find confusing and abandon.
