It wasn’t so long ago that Microsoft took the covers off the upgraded Dynamics GP 2010. Now, seven months later, the software giant is teasing the features it plans to include in the next iteration of its enterprise resource planning product, to be known as Release 2, or “R2,” colloquially.
In the upcoming Dynamics GP R2, Microsoft is planning to include an array of business intelligence features geared for mid-size business customers, the company said this week. Additionally, when the product ships in mid-2011, it will also include features such as personalized dashboards and workflow improvements. eCRM Guide reports on what Microsoft has on tap.
It’s only been seven months since Microsoft last upgraded its Dynamics GP enterprise resource planning (ERP) package for mid-sized businesses to Dynamics GP 2010.
Still, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is already talking up the next release, due to be dubbed “Release 2,” or R2 for short.
