Microsoft Unveils Small Business Server

As it continues to expand its cloud-computing services, Microsoft has issued the preview release of the next version of its Small Business Server, which it says supports both traditional and cloud-based technologies.

Along with the new Small Business Server, codenamed Aurora, Microsoft is also releasing a revamped Windows Home Server, dubbed Vail, geared for home businesses. Small Business Computing has the details.


Microsoft has announced a preview of the upcoming version of its Small Business Server (SBS), codenamed Aurora, that adds support for cloud computing, is now available.

During Microsoft’s (NASDAQ: MSFT) Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington in mid-July, Kevin Kean, general manager of Windows Home and Small Business Servers, blogged that the company would release previews of two new SBS versions before the end of summer.
