It’s time.
After a typical six month development cycle since the OpenStack
Liberty release, the first OpenStack Mitaka milestones are now starting to appear.
The first out of the gate is the Glance image project, which released its Mitaka RC1 milestone on March 16. Glance was quickly followed the same day by Heat, Neutron and Nova.
The Cinder Mitaka RC1 debuted on Thursday March 17, Trove, zaqar and Senlin Mitaka RC1 milestone have all debuted (so far) on March 18
It’s still early for Mitaka though the next month will be a very busy one as the release hardens. The final OpenStack Mitaka release is currently set for the week of April 4.
