How do you attract more enterprise customers? One strategy, that database software company Sybase is pursuing, is to partner with trusted suppliers, in this case computer giant HP (NYSE: HPQ). Sybase itself is already firmly aligned with venerable enterprise software provider SAP (NYSE: SAP), which purchased the company earlier this year.
As Datamation reports, certain HP servers are now a reference architecture for Sybase’s IQ 15 business intelligence platform designed to help enterprise customers with data-intensive queries.
Touting what it says is “significantly lower” total cost of ownership, Sybase has announced that its IQ 15 business intelligence (BI) software is now a reference architecture on HP ProLiant DL785 servers.
The joint solution is designed to optimize query response and data loads, while reducing overhead, storage costs and maintenance requirements.
