3PARdata, a startup Utility Storage Server company that says it will enable information intensive organizations to consolidate and centralize their information and storage assets, this week announced the addition of two executives to complete its management team. William H. Kurtz will serve as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and Farhad Kashani will be Senior Vice President of Operations.

Kurtz brings to 3PARdata over 20 years of experience in operations, finance and international business in the communications, networking and professional services industries. Most recently, he was at Scient Corporation, a professional services company, where he was Executive VP and CFO, and was one of the key executives who led the company from a private start-up to an established global public company.

Kashani has more than 20 years of progressive experience in the computer, communications and networking industries throughout Silicon Valley, and recently served as Senior VP of Operations at CacheFlow.

“3PARdata now has a complete executive staff, made up of some of the most experienced and proven executives in the industry. The management talent is key to the successful launch of our solutions as well as ensuring the highest level of quality and service to our customers,” said David Scott, 3PARdata President and Chief Executive Officer. “Both individuals have experience in building a start-up company into a very large concern and their international background will prove invaluable to us as we take a leadership position in the storage industry.”

3PARdata recently completed a $100 million third round of funding, which was led by New York’s Amerindo Investment Advisors, along with original lead investors Mayfield Fund and Worldview Technology Partners. The financing is expected to last the company through profitability.
