Apogee Networks Joins The VERITAS Vplus Program

Apogee Networks, a provider of Content, and IP Rating, Billing, and Settlement platforms, this week announced it has joined the VERITAS Vplus Partner Program.

Apogee said the technical partnership will enable Enterprises to better understand the costs within their Storage Area Network (SAN) environment. Apogee Networks’ NetCountant. Accountability platform is integrated with VERITAS storage management solutions for existing and prospective customers. As a result, the company said customers will be able to quickly introduce and differentiate their service offerings, as well as manage their Internet and intranet network storage usage more effectively, thereby controlling costs, increasing revenues, as well as improving storage and network performance.

“VERITAS clearly understands the value our usage-based chargeback application brings to their Enterprise and Service Provider customers faced with the current growth and expansion of network storage,” said Andrew Burroughs, Apogee Networks’ Chief Marketing Officer/GM. “As a result of our partnership, Enterprises will gain greater control of network infrastructure costs associated with network storage by linking the costs of providing these services for corporate users directly to consumption,” added Burroughs.

“System and application availability are critical to the billing environment”, said Jim Herman, director, solution partner sales, VERITAS Software. “By integrating VERITAS Software products with Apogee Networks’ NetCountant product line, we are helping to meet the needs of customers by providing a scalable billing solution that achieves higher levels of application availability and performance, greater return on investment, and lower total cost of ownership.”
