BiTMICRO NETWORKS, Inc. and Dy 4 Systems, Inc. today announced the integration of BiTMICRO’s E-Disk(TM) technology in Dy 4’s ruggedized SVME/DMV-570 Flash Non-volatile Memory Module.
According to the companies, Dy 4’s SVME/DMV-570 provides the ideal high-capacity solution in a single VME bus slot. It’s ideal for harsh and rugged applications where large amounts of non-volatile, mass memory are required to store theatre area maps, video/satellite imagery and data base records. By integrating E-Disk technology to the SVME/DMV-570, Dy 4 solves the performance, environmental conditions, mechanical ruggedness, reliability limitations and heat generation problems of rotating mass media devices.
“As data storage requirements have grown in size and complexity, storage is more than just strategic direction to our customers, it’s business critical,” said Dave Bultman, VP of Engineering and Operations for BiTMICRO. “That is why we continuously increase our commitment to flash storage technology and innovative storage implementation that sets new standards in delivering highly available and reliable storage solutions to our customers.”
In addition to E-Disks with SCSI interface, BiTMICRO offers IDE and Fibre Channel as well. They are available from 128Mbytes up to 37Gbytes in 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch form factors.
