BlueArc Announces VERITAS NetBackup Qualification

BlueArc Corporation this week announced that its BlueArc Si7500 Storage System has been qualified with VERITAS NetBackup(TM) NDMP (Network Data Management Protocol) part of VERITAS NetBackup(TM) DataCenter.

“BlueArc’s SiliconServer combined with VERITAS NetBackup NDMP addresses the most demanding data protection needs in the largest enterprise environments,” said Neal Ater, senior vice president of data protection products, VERITAS Software. “Customers will be able to achieve optimal levels of performance and reliability in protecting and accessing their business-critical data.”

“The certification gives our customers an enterprise-ready backup option to efficiently manage and maintain the integrity of their data,” said Bryan Sweeley, senior vice president, marketing at BlueArc. “The ease-of-use that VERITAS NetBackup NDMP provides is a perfect fit for the Si7500. Together they effectively reduce manageability requirements and total cost of ownership for enterprise level storage systems.”
