Brocade Communications Systems has achieved SANmark qualification for the SilkWorm family of 1 and 2 Gigabit per Second (Gbit/sec) fabric switches-including the SilkWorm 12000 64- and 128-port Core Fabric Switch, the 16-port SilkWorm 3800 Enterprise Fabric Switch, and the 8-port SilkWorm 3200 Entry Fabric Switch.
The SANmark program, an open industry, conformance test suite development program, was developed cooperatively by the University of New Hampshire and the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) and is based on American National Standards Institute (ANSI) T11 specifications.

According to the Fibre Channel Industry Association, it is an international organization of manufacturers, systems integrators, developers, systems vendors, industry professionals, and end users. It has more than 190 members and affiliates in the United States, Europe, and Japan.
