Companies Support Network Appliance Tape Backup Solutions

CommVault Systems, Inc. and Network Appliance, Inc. today announced that CommVault Galaxy(TM) software supports the Network Appliance(TM) FC Fabric Tape SAN Backup solution.

“This announcement underscores CommVault’s commitment to offering the industry’s most advanced software solutions for Network Appliance filers,” said Larry Cormier, vice president of marketing and business development, CommVault Systems. “This solution enables both companies to effectively address customer demand for complementary software and hardware technologies that unleash the full power of their data and storage management system infrastructures.”

According to CommVault, its Galaxy solution features advanced application integration, a unique interface, and storage policies that enable administrators to view data logically, rather than physically, to ensure easy, reliable data and storage management. The combination of the CommVault Galaxy software, Network Appliance filers, and SAN device support delivers a highly scalable data and storage management solution that is easy to deploy and manage, while less expensive to operate.
