Storage virtualization and networking software vendor DataCore(TM) Software today announced the opening of its office in Australia. The Sydney office is in the Central Business District overlooking Darling Harbor, centrally located close to the enterprise client base, the IT corridor and partners.

“DataCore’s technology is in demand worldwide and as an international company, we are addressing this need from and global perspective,” said George Teixeira, president and CEO of DataCore Software. “DataCore’s goal for Australia is to be the preeminent storage virtualization product in the South Asian market.”

The first step towards achieving this goal is to certify SANvantage(TM) partners. These DataCore partners, DataCore says, are selected based on their overall storage expertise and qualifications to deliver cost-effective SAN solutions. The office in Australia provides technical support, sales, marketing, training and education for Australian and the South Pacific region. DataCore is in the process of signing resellers and partners in order to begin the SAN education process and SANsymphony standardizations in this region.
