DataCore Software Teaches ‘ROI Street Smarts’

Sep 20, 2001

DataCore(TM) Software, a supplier of storage networking and virtualization software, announced it is rolling out `ROI Street Smarts(TM),’ an educational program geared to helping companies make decisions about their current and future storage investments.

“Managing storage growth continues to present a significant challenge for companies and the urgency to make every expenditure pay off quickly only adds to the difficulty,” said Ken Horner, vice president of marketing for DataCore Software. “This series reflects DataCore Software’s ongoing commitment to provide education and tools that give IT Operations new insight into ways to maximize the value of their storage through virtualization.”

The first resource in DataCore’s ‘ROI Street Smart’ program is a series of white papers that considers a specific asset utilization challenge and evaluates alternative storage management strategies against the ultimate metric – the bottom line. The initial white paper “Max Out Your Storage Utilization” is now available at the companys web site.

The company said future white papers will address the effects on ROI of reducing application disruptions, leveraging purchasing power and consolidating storage control. The ROI Street Smarts series are expected to appear monthly through the end of 2001.
