DataDirect Networks to Expand

DataDirect Networks Inc. today announced it has completed a $9.9 million round of funding on Monday, money the company says will help it expand.

According to the company, its flagship product is a metal box, about the size of a microwave, that’s able to store up to 100 tetrabytes of computer data. The average data storage unit costs $35,000 to $125,000.

DataDirect’s clients include Boeing, NASA Goddard, MTV, CNN, Fox and Lockheed Martin Energy Systems.
