Aug 14, 2001

DISC, Inc., a manufacturer of automated solutions for enterprise storage, today announced that it will co-market its DVD-RAM line of storage libraries with SUN Microsystems. At SIGGRAPH, DISC says it will be featuring the SUN server connectivity, running Solaris with DISC’s 600 slot DVD-RAM jukebox.

“SUN Microsystems is exactly the kind of partner DISC looks for,” said DISC’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Bob Riland. “DISC’s NearLine storage devices and SUN’S technology services together offer a powerful solution for customers implementing storage initiatives. In addition, SUN’S reputation and reach into the IT marketplace will bring DISC’s products to a broader range of companies.”
