Emulex Hits Milestone, Ships 500,000 Host Bus Adapter


Emulex Corp. , a supplier of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), announced it has shipped its 500,000th Fibre Channel host bus adapter.

Emulex said its HBAs are deployed in a wide range of system environments, including Windows, UNIX, and mainframes, and are used by the world’s leading server and storage providers, including Compaq, EMC, Fujitsu-Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Data Systems, and IBM.

“The shipment of our 500,000th HBA reinforces Emulex’s leadership position in the storage networking industry, and our dedication to providing our customers with high performance, reliable and flexible solutions for their enterprise applications,” said Paul Folino, Emulex’s President and CEO. “This installed base represents significant investments made by our customers, and we will continue to work to leverage those investments in new generations of Fibre Channel and IP storage networking products.”
