Exabyte Adds New VP of Corporate Quality

Exabyte Corp.,a provider of network backup systems, this week announced that John Stahl has joined the company as vice president of Corporate Quality.


The company said Stahl will lead quality improvement teams for its tape libraries and M2(TM) tape drives. He will also assume responsibility for leading corporate quality, quality assurance, ISO certification processes, process quality and product testing.


Most recently president and CEO of Segway Systems, a start-up company specializing in high-performance digital tape recording components, Stahl was previously vice president of quality for Maxtor and for Seagate’s Recording Head Operations group. During his 30 years in the storage industry, he has held VP, director and management positions in advanced technology, advanced manufacturing, operations and development engineering at StorageTek, Iomega and IBM.


“I am delighted that we can further strengthen our senior management team with the addition of John Stahl,” said Exabyte president and CEO Bill Marriner. “Someone with his credentials gives us additional management strength and complements the other members of the senior management team.”
