FileTek’s Cetera Storage Services Earns SunTone Certification

FileTek, Inc., a data storage and access systems provider, today announced that the company’s Cetera(TM) enterprise-based digital storage service has been SunTone(SM) certified. This designation was awarded after an assessment concerning Cetera’s infrastructure, processes, security, and disaster recovery measures. Cetera is based upon FileTek’s award-winning StorHouse(R) technology.

“We’re very excited and honored to receive the SunTone certification for Cetera,” said Dave Daughters, FileTek’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

“FileTek believes that there’s a growing need for enterprise-based storage service systems products, and it’s gratifying to know that our technology and architecture meet superior SunTone standards. We look forward to deploying the Cetera product to assist companies with their data storage and data access needs.”

“By achieving SunTone certification for Cetera, FileTek has passed a rigorous review process to meet industry-based high standards for excellence in infrastructure, availability and uptime,” said Tim Dwyer, Vice President of Sun’s Industry Solutions Group. “Customers can be confident that FileTek’s storage service is built and managed according to industry best practices and high quality standards established by the SunTone program.”

FileTek said its flagship product, StorHouse(R), permits access to row-level data stored across all storage media (e.g., disk, optical, tape). It transparently integrates with the most popular databases, such as Oracle(R), DB2 UDB(TM), and SQL Server(TM), and supports industry-standard gateways and data access methods.
