Emulex Corp. today announced that Hitachi Data Systems has certified the Emulex LP8000S SBus host bus adapter for use in its Freedom SAN enterprise solutions.
“Emulex’s Fibre Channel host bus adapters enable Hitachi to provide its enterprise customers with a high performance, scalable solution for the most demanding storage environments,” said Darrel Kent, senior director, enterprise products and solutions, Hitachi Data Systems. “Certification of Emulex HBAs marks a significant step in the implementation of our open-SAN strategy. This certification also adds an important new choice for Hitachi’s SAN customers who demand reliable connectivity and performance for SBus-based Solaris servers.”
The Emulex LP8000S SBus host bus adapter is optimized for Sun Microsystems’ servers and provides the flexibility and broad interoperability to enable connectivity between SBus servers and highly scalable enterprise SANs.
