Imation Corp. announced the formation of Imation Data Center Services, a suite of professional and operational services geared to data center and IT professionals.
Frank Russomanno, general manager of Imation data storage media and services, said, “In the data center, managing today’s exploding information growth continues to be reliant on the industry’s most reliable and scalable solution – the tape systems. Our customers tell us that they need help managing this increasingly complex function to help increase efficiency and better meet service level agreements.”
According to Imation, its Data Center Services will help companies solve a range of data center challenges – from charting tape library operations against best practices for improved efficiency, to copying and conversion of nearly any tape media format to free up floor space.
