InterSAN(TM), an applications-based Storage Area Management (SAM) software today announced it will support present and future storage solutions from Hitachi Data Systems.
According to the companies, InterSAN’s software will allow customers to efficiently allocate, manage, and monitor Hitachi Data Systems’ storage systems in a distributed storage-networking environment. Working with Hitachi Data Systems, InterSAN says it has access to Hitachi’s management interfaces, which enables InterSAN to support the Freedom Storage line of storage systems.
InterSAN’s recently finished its first venture funding round, led by Wit SoundView Ventures. InterSAN’s storage management software is expected in Fall 2001.
