The Kernel Group today introduced an enhanced version of its system recovery solution, Bare Metal Restore(TM), that expands the software’s multi-platform support capabilities to VERITAS NetBackup.

“Extending our BMR solution to VERITAS NetBackup is a significant development for The Kernel Group as the company continues to position itself as a major force in the enterprise software solutions marketplace,” said Sol Suberi, chairman and chief executive officer of TKG. “We now integrate with two of the major Enterprise Storage Management providers in the marketplace.”

According to the company, Bare Metal Restore is designed to completely and seamlessly restore a machine that has been downed after disaster strikes, extending current Enterprise Storage Management solutions. It recovers the operating system, configurations, applications and data seamlessly from NetBackup.
