Medea Corporation, a storage solutions provider to the digital content creation and internet streaming media markets, plans to debut four new RAID storage solutions for digital content creation (DCC) applications at this year’s SIGGRAPH show, August 14th – 16th in Los Angeles.

According to Medea, the new product demonstrations will focus on VideoRaid RTR(TM) and VideoRack RTR(TM), with Ultra160 SCSI interfaces, as well as VideoRaid FCR(TM) and VideoRack FCR(TM), which feature SAN-Ready fibre channel interfaces. The Medea RTR and FCR arrays are designed for DCC applications such as 2D/3D animation, compositing, special effects, game development and non-linear video editing.

“Medea’s new RTR and FCR disk arrays provide digital content creators with performance and functionality that previously required a significant investment,” said Roger S. Mabon, director of marketing for Medea. “The RTR and FCR families of disk arrays are the first to provide HD compatible data transfer rates and full RAID protection at prices under $15/GB.”
