MTI Technology Corp. announced that
IT leaders from every province in China will gather at the Third Information Harbor Forum in Shanghai December 9th and 10th. MTI is the event’s principal sponsor at what it calls the largest government technical symposium in China.

Peter Doob, MTI’s vice president, RAID liaison, plans to deliver a 40-minute presentation on MTI’s SAN technology. He will also join Larry Herring, director of technical services, for a technical discussion of MTI’s Vivant series storage server.

“Today’s increased awareness of the need for contingency planning has made disaster recovery a top priority of government agencies throughout the world, and China is no exception,” said Tom Raimondi, MTI’s president and CEO. “With our technology’s focus on data backup and replication, our presence at this year’s Information Harbor Forum takes on added significance.”

MTI’s participation in this event follows the formal launching last month in Beijing of the company’s operation in China.
