Network attached storage (NAS) systems company Network Storage Solutions today announced line of Thunderbolt NAS solutions now supports a 1.8 terabyte storage capacity in a 3u rack mount unit.

Network Storage Solutions SS says it had been shipping a maximum of 730 gigabytes in a comparable space for over a year. Network Storage Solutions now offers more than double the previous capacity in the same footprint.

“Our customers have been asking for a NAS device that can store more than double the current RAID storage capacity, in the same footprint, at a lower cost per MB than they are paying today,” said Brad Clemmons, President and CEO of Network Storage Solutions. “Today’s announcement underscores NSS’ continued commitment to offering reliable, highly scalable, space conserving, enterprise-class storage solutions at affordable prices.”
