The March 2011 IT brand leadership survey, from tracking company IT Brand Pulse has found EMC (NYSE:EMC) to be the market leader for unified storage.
EMC’s leadership was not however a clean sweep in the unified storage category. Dell’s (NASDAQ: DELL) Compellent storage business won in price leadership, while NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) came out as the leader for innovation in unified storage.
In contrast, EMC was found to be the leader in performance, and reliability, as well as service and support.
Quantum, Symantec and QLogic also did well in specific storage categories.
