SAN Valley Systems, a provider of high-speed IP-SAN connectivity solutions, demonstrated the wire-speed IP-SAN performance of the SAN Valley SL1000 with products from Compaq, LuxN and ADIC this week at NetWorld+Interop (N+I) in Las Vegas.

The SL1000, scheduled for production release in July and is expected to be generally available this summer, is the first of SAN Valley’s suite of IP Storage connectivity solutions. The company said the SL1000 broadens the benefits of a Storage Area Network (SAN) by interconnecting SAN resources across metropolitan and wide area networks (MAN/WAN), delivering IP-Storage solutions not currently available on the market.

SAN Valley solutions interconnect storage resources across IP and Optical networks. The company said its next-generation, optical edge access products deliver powerful, high-performance connectivity that address common storage challenges encountered by today’s enterprise and service provider customers. SAN Valley’s products interoperate with best of breed networking, SAN and optical technologies, to provide end-to-end storage networking solutions. The company said its products provide investment protection by reducing the cost and complexity of deploying and managing mission critical storage services.
