StorageTek(R)today announced that Quantum’s next generation Super DLTtape technology is now available for StorageTek’s industry L-Series tape libraries.
“Our customers have come to expect the most advanced and proven tape technologies from StorageTek,” said Gary Francis, StorageTek corporate vice president and general manager, Automated Tape Solutions. “The addition of Super DLTtape technology to StorageTek’s L-series libraries extends our leadership position by maximizing the flexibility and scalability we deliver to our customers.”
Super DLTtape technology represents a significant improvement over the DLTtape technology and further enhances the L-Series tape libraries’ back up and archiving capabilities. Furthermore, the company says the L-Series supports true mixed media assuring that customers’ investments are safeguarded through upgrades to existing libraries.
