Tek-Tools, Inc., an provider of extensible XML-based software solutions, today announced a reseller agreement under which StorNet, Inc., a provider of networked storage services, will integrate and support Tek-Tools’ storage resource management (SRM) software.

StorNet, an initial beta site for the Tek-Tools’ application, has installed the software at customer locations in Texas, New Jersey and Colorado. “Our customers have been asking us to act as their storage services provider, and Tek-Tools’ SRM technology allows us to provide a great deal of information and reporting on storage capacity and usage to our customers as we monitor their storage networks,” said Derek Gamradt, Chief Technology Officer for StorNet. “This agreement will give StorNet’s entire customer base easier access to this exciting technology, helping them obtain even greater value from their investment in StorNet’s storage services.”

Tek-Tools said its SRM application is 100% Web-based, and supports proactive, location-independent monitoring of storage resources across the enterprise, including DAS, NAS and SAN devices as well as backup software, databases, and servers.

“Tek-Tools has benefited tremendously from working with StorNet over the past few months and we are delighted to be taking this relationship to the next level,” said Ken Barth, president of Tek-Tools. “StorNet’s nationwide presence and long-standing expertise in the storage arena makes them an ideal strategic partner.”
