Tek-Tools, Inc., an provider of XML-based software solutions, today announced the availability of Storage Profiler(TM) 1.1, a Web-based storage resource management (SRM) application.

“Storage Profiler lets you view current and projected disk capacity on the same screen as well as reports on current and historical statistics such as CPU, memory, network performance, disk performance, individual user disk usage and more,” said Robert Mullins, Systems Coordinator at Nahan Printing, Inc. (St. Cloud, Minn.). “These features are extremely valuable to us. We have over 3.5 Terabytes of space spread over multiple servers, a storage area network (SAN), and different disk arrays. Storage Profiler allows us to evaluate, manage, report and anticipate issues with storage space, server reliability and, via SNMP, the switches on our network.”

“Organizations everywhere are facing the competing challenges of storing and protecting critical company information, while tightening the belt on corporate storage spending,” said John McArthur, Group Vice President of Storage Research at IDC. “Storage Profiler assists in guaranteeing storage availability and provides an easy-to-navigate, off-the-shelf storage management solution that is suitable for use by all levels of IT staff. In addition, the package is very competitively priced, while offering many of the components found in much higher-priced storage resource management solutions.”

Storage Profiler Version 1.1 is available from Tek-Tools now. Pricing starts at $7,000 for a 10-pack Right-to-Use (RTU) license.
