TrelliSoft and Knox Software Ink Agreement

Aug 21, 2001

TrelliSoft, Inc., a provider of multi-platform storage resource management (SRM) software, and Knox Software Corp, a provider of enterprise network backup solutions, this week announced that they have signed a strategic partnership agreement to integrate and cross-sell each other’s products.

The agreement includes TrelliSoft StorageAlert/OS and Knox Software’s Arkeia software product families. Arkeia is an enterprise network backup solution. StorageAlert allows administrators to define configurable thresholds and constraints that result in notification or action.

Knox Software will also become a founding member of TrelliSoft’s Action Partner Program, which is a marketing program aimed at promoting third-party software solutions that work with the Triggered Action Facility.

“Because data is an organization’s most valuable asset, partnering with a company that provides fast and reliable back-up and recovery solutions was top priority,” said Stephen Donovan, President and CEO of TrelliSoft, Inc. “We are excited to offer Arkeia to our customers as an integrated SRM and backup solution. Our partnership with Arkeia will help customers solve–or even avoid–a problem that could potentially destroy their data.”

“The explosive growth of data in today’s companies and the steadily increasing workloads of system administrators has created an environment that requires the automated high performance data protection of Arkeia and automated monitoring and alerting capabilities that StorageAlert provides,” stated Philippe Roussel, CEO of Knox Software Corporation. “The combination of the TrelliSoft and Arkeia product lines provides a watchful eye that guards critical data and ensures its safety and integrity.”

StorageAlert is available immediately, with prices starting at $1,000 for a single Intel-based processor. Arkeia is available immediately, with prices starting at $690.
