UltraBac Updates Backup and Disaster Recovery Software

UltraBac Software today announced the release of UltraBac 6.2 backup and disaster recovery software for Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R)/2000 servers and workstations.


The company says UltraBac 6.2 features a new Network Disaster Recovery (NetDR) feature to allow users to boot a machine and restore an image of a partition that was previously backed up over the network by simply inserting a DOS-based floppy.


Also new in UltraBac 6.2 is the Command Line Restore for Express Index, a file indexing technology that lets users to simply type a command from a DOS prompt to initiate a restore.


Morgan Edwards, CEO of UltraBac Software, said, “The release of UltraBac 6.2 is another milestone for UltraBac Softwarewith the addition of the Network Disaster Recovery feature and the acceleration of regular backup speeds.”
