Veritas Software today announced a worldwide integrated support services agreement with Hewlett-Packard. The agreement expands the companies’ existing support relationship by simplifying and broadening support for customers running Veritas storage software products in HP-UX environments.
“HP is working to simplify support services in increasingly complex storage environments,” said Gill Rickards, general manager of HP’s storage support services organization. “The new support agreement with VERITAS reinforces our commitment to providing integrated support and a total customer experience, ultimately benefiting mutual customers.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Veritas authorizes HP to sell and deliver HP-branded support and services on a broad portfolio of Veritas products in HP-UX environments, giving mutual customers a single point of contact for their support and services needs. The agreement also coordinates the expertise of both companies to expedite resolution of customer support issues, minimizing the time-to-resolution period and helping to ensure business continuance.
