VERITAS Software Expands Operations


VERITAS Software Corporation today announced the first phase of employee relocation to its new corporate headquarters.


According to the company, the Mountain View, CA, 425,000-square-foot facility will house research and development units, executive and marketing offices, and will employ more than 1,400 people. The new campus centralizes operations from five buildings spanning approximately 1.5 miles to four tangential buildings on 20 acres in Silicon Valley.


“The opening of VERITAS Software’s new headquarters is symbolic of the company’s commitment to expansion and growth,” said Gary Bloom, president and chief executive officer, VERITAS Software. “The new campus will serve the company well in the coming decades as we plan to grow to become a $5 billion company.”

VERITAS Software has just begun the first phase of employee relocation and expects to fully occupy the site by early 2002. The company is consolidating five of its buildings scattered around Mountain View to one central location at 350 Ellis Street. A total of 425,000 square feet, including three buildings and a central courtyard, comprise the new VERITAS campus.
