Vixel and Modern Tech to Demonstrate Storage Technologies at NetChina 2001

Sep 4, 2001

Vixel Corporation, a provider of storage area networking (SAN) solutions, together with distribution partner Modern Tech, plan on displaying an array of storage technologies for attendees of NetChina 2001.

According to the companies, the live demonstrations will match Vixel’s full line of Fibre Channel interconnect technologies and SAN management software, SAN InSite(TM) Professional, with a variety of storage device types, including optical jukebox and tape libraries as well as with legacy storage systems.

“In today’s economic climate, storage users need to focus on both value and performance to accommodate their growing storage requirements, and that will be the emphasis of the offerings Vixel and Modern Tech bring to NetChina 2001,” said Soogil Stephen Cho, Vixel’s Asia Pacific vice president of sales. “We can help users in China migrate to new and more efficient technologies, such as Vixel’s new 2Gb, 9000 series full Fabric switches and SAN InSite Professional multi vendor management software, while increasing the return on investment they realize from their storage systems.”

The NetChina 2001 exhibition attracts over 20,000 attendees and will be held in Beijing at the China International Exhibition Center on September 5-8.
