Vixel Corporation this week announced the certification of Vixel’s 2100 Fibre Channel Zoning Managed Hub with LSI Logic Storage Systems new SANtricity(TM) Storage Manager Software 7.10. The latest release of SANtricity 7.10, announced recently by LSI Logic Storage Systems, provides Vixel and LSI customers with features that include heterogeneous operating system support and improved SANshare(TM) storage partitioning.
Gerard Meluso, director of alliances for LSI Logic Storage Systems, Inc., said, “We have certified compatibility of the Vixel 2100 Zoning Managed Hub with our MetaStor(R) E-Series storage systems and SANtricity Storage Manager 7.10 — combining the best attributes of both companies’ products for the benefit of our customers, whether they are installing their first Fibre Channel SAN or expanding an existing configuration.”
According to Vixel, its 2100 Zoning Managed Hub offers four times the performance of a traditional managed hub at the same price. Vixel’s unique zoning function ensures maximum loop stability and reliability, delivering four independent loops that can be divided into 100 MBps zones.
