Vixel Forms Strategic Advisory Board

Vixel Corporation , a provider of storage area networking (SAN) solutions, has formed a Strategic Advisory Board.

With the creation of the Strategic Advisory Board, the Company also announced the appointment of John Runne as chairman of the newly formed advisory group. In his capacity, the company said Mr. Runne will play a key role in guiding Vixel’s strategic business development initiatives.

“John Runne’s focus will be to help architect and implement new business development strategies for Vixel as we redirect the company’s emphasis towards some very exciting new growth opportunities,” says Jim McCluney, president and CEO of Vixel.

Prior to joining Vixel’s Strategic Advisory Board as chairman, Mr. Runne served as senior vice president of corporate development, vice president of marketing and executive staff member of McDATA Corporation.
