Jul 26, 2001

Xdrive Technologies, an Internet information management software and services provider, today announced that it has acquired San Jose-based push technology company, Yopa.

According to the company, Yopa offers a business-focused, carrier-class platform for delivering user-requested information to any PC, pager, telephone or wireless device and allowing the recipient to act upon it. Yopa’s offices and employees will remain in San Jose, operating as the Xdrive Mobile Business Unit. Additional financial terms concerning the transaction were not disclosed.

By acquiring Yopa, Xdrive Technologies says it gains a new product line, additional wireless development expertise, a customer pipeline and the ability to incorporate push features into the Xdrive Intelligent Data Platform, a software platform that allows anywhere, anytime, any device, online data storage and access.
